Meet Our New PGIAA Board of Directors and Officers

Pacifica Graduate Institute Alumni Association (PGIAA) is pleased to announce the results of this year’s election to the Board. The following members have been elected to serve as Directors and Officers for 2019- 2020, starting immediately.

Congratulations to the New Board of Directors and Officers!

  • Harry Grammer President

    Harry Grammer is an artist, activist, and educator. He founded the community- based organization New Earth in 2004 and is an integral part of reforming juvenile justice in Los Angeles. In 2017, Harry was honored as a CNN Hero, and in 2018 was selected one of 20 inaugural Obama Foundation Fellows from over 20,000 applicants in 191 countries.

  • Olivia Happel Vice President

    Olivia Happel, PhD, teaches Latin, Mythology, Theory of Knowledge, English, and Film Studies at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, California.  Dr. Happel created her own curriculum for both the Mythology and Film Studies courses and also serves as the Extended Essay Coordinator for DPHS

  • Maxine Blanche Langdon Secretary

    Licensed since 2012 as an MFT in California, Dr. Langdon received her Ph.D. in Depth Psychology with an Emphasis in Psychotherapy in 2016.  She has maintained a private practice in the Rancho Cucamonga area since 2011.

  • Stephanie Zajchowski Treasurer

    Stephanie Zajchowski recently earned her Ph.D. in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She also holds a certification in Spiritual Direction from Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology.

  • Breana D. Johnson Sgt-at-Arms

    Breana D. Johnson is a 4th year dissertation student in the Depth Psychology, Community, Liberation, Indigenous, and Eco-psychologies program.  Ms. Johnson currently practices as a licensed Marriage and Family Psychotherapist in New York City and works to address stigma in the mental wellness field.

  • Heather McCloskey Beck

    Heather McCloskey Beck is an international author, speaker, somatic energy healer, life coach, and founder of the global peace movement, Peace Flash®. Dedicated to creating a dynamic peace within our world, Heather’s most recent book, Take the Leap, focuses on how to embrace your unique genius and create a life you truly love

  • Howard Spector

    Howard Spector is the Founder and CEO of SimplePractice, a practice management and Electronic Health Record platform for health and wellness professionals.

  • John Michael O’Neal

    John Michael O’Neal is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both California and New Mexico, and a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute.

  • Leslie Shore

    Dr. Leslie Shore completed her Ph.D. in 2013 from Pacifica Graduate Institute in the Mythological Studies program with an emphasis in depth psychology. 

  • Minh Tran

    Minh Tran, MA, LMFT is a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute’s M.A. in Counseling Psychology program. After graduating in 2017, Minh completed his commitment to working for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health

  • Nicole Freeman

    Nicole Freeman holds a Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and is currently pre-licensed as an AMFT and APCC. Ms. Freeman works with an adolescent population, using dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and a psychodynamic approach.

  • Odette Springer

    Odette Springer holds a B.A. in Piano from the Manhattan School of Music and a Ph.D. in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.

  • Allyn Enderlyn

    Allyn Enderlyn earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Depth Psychology in 2013. She recently created a documentary film based on her dissertation, which was described as “a beautifully written, powerful, and historically important document.”

  • Donna May

    Ms. May received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 1996. She credits the school’s motto, Animae Mundi Colendae Gratia  (for the sake of tending soul in and of the world) for guiding her life and work.

  • Fanny Brewster

    Fanny Brewster, M.F.A., Ph.D., is an author of poetry and nonfiction, and a Professor in the Integrative Therapy and Healing Practices Department at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Her Masters degree in Creative Nonfiction was awarded by Goucher College.
