Over the past few years, we have loved celebrating our own at our annual Authors Spotlight event, co-hosted by the Pacifica Bookstore and Alumni Relations. Twenty-two Pacifica Alumni Authors participated in our First Annual Authors Spotlight!
As most of you know, last year’s rain following widespread fires resulted in the tragic Montecito Debris Flow, which closed roads and preempted our PGIAA on-campus celebrations. This year we are proud to honor alumni publications with a special reception/book-signing, to include works published in 2018, 2019, and 2020! CONGRATULATIONS PACIFICA ALUMNI AUTHORS!
Pacifica Graduate Institute Alumni books will appear in our Annual PGIAA Authors Spotlight during Coming Home 2020, happening January 17-19, 2020. The Pacifica Bookstore will order copies of our alumni publications where possible. If you have recently had a book published, or if you have self-published a book, please alert the Pacifica Bookstore and the Alumni Association!!! You are welcome to bring copies to showcase and/or sell in the Bookstore.
On Saturday, January 18th, 7:00 p.m., the Barrett Center in all of its glory will become a stage for our PGIAA Authors. Attending authors will have time to briefly share their writing experience, meet other honorees, and answer questions from alumni and community visitors. If you’ve recently published, we hope you will consider sharing your success by attending Coming Home 2020.
This year’s Coming Home celebration, appropriately themed: “Coming Home: The Stories We Tell,” will specially dedicate Saturday, January 18th as “Celebrating Pacifica Authors” day. Plan now to Come Home, sign books, share your work/art, and support other budding authors! Coming Home has proved to be a great networking opportunity!
